Readings
A wide range of books and topics are available for readings. There are the easy town books 1-4, and while book 3 and 4 are not yet published, there is enough material for readings. Readings could centre around the easy town story, or around a topic like: human-friendly environments, rethinking businesses, health & care, we need to talk about sex and a lot more.
Readings could also centre around an idea. For example, where does the story pick up narratives and replaces them? Or more generally, how is this 12 part story written? And again a lot more.
The easy town books are presented on the easy town books website.
The dot.story is a related story but distinctly different. It illustrates how the dot.business model (developed in the easy town story) could work, and it does so with the Edinburgh Fringe and over a hundred countries as its backdrop, and with all genders, many walks of lives represented in the stories of the characters.
The dot.story in numbers: 29 stories from 14 locations intertwined with each other and connecting to over a 100 countries, regions and locations. Also included are over 70 fashion ideas, nearly 30 ideas for new fashion collections, over 25 ideas for innovations, nearly 15 additional ideas for dot.stations, and 7 additional ideas outside the above categories.
Reading from the story is as intriguing as is the question of how it was written and what it is about.
More about the dot.story on the dot.website.
And now to the latest addition.
I proudly present:
The end of all wars,
planet one, the roots of war
Freshly published and after the first successful reading and questions afterwards, I can’t wait for the next opportunities to present this unusual story.
Is it worth it? Well, is it worth it to consider the end of all wars and do so with a story which is set on a different planet which allows us to look at the arguments without all our earthly grievances showing up?
Below you find one of my first attempts with audio files. There will be some clips from the reading when I get around to shortening it.
More about The end of all wars, planet one, the roots of war, plus audio, on this series’s website. There are also a number of suggestions for readings.
The end of all wars is a collection within the collection: Views from around the universe. While the overall collection only has a few stories so far, there is quite a bit material that comprises statements from various planets on serious and on not so serious topics, like strongmen and zebra, or leadership and what is it with humans and feeding ducks?

It would also be possible to pick a topic, like war, sexuality, business practices, how we work or towns, and read passages from each of the above books. Some of the overlaps surprised even me.
There is also my most personal project: breastless. While I put writing it on hold for now, there is enough material for a reading and a discourse afterwards. The book combines the following issues: overwork, cancer, gender, shoulder injury, connecting to the body and to nature. Find out more on the breastless website.

talks & discussions
I’m happy to introduce all business and town ideas, I developed in the easy town story.
For more see: towns and cities international and easy town visions for an overview of business ideas and approaches.

I don’t know, yet, where exactly this one will go, but here is the thing: In my work, I come across many more subjects and ideas than I can fit into my stories, and I’d like to make my mind available on subjects that already have pages of unused material such as trains, coexisting with nature, restoring nature, work places, communication, hospitals, rehab, joblessness, homelessness, sexuality, towns, businesses, gardens, rituals, libraries and more.
Here is what this offer looks like in my mind right now. You are the mayor of a town, the boss of a hospital, the architect that would love to build a library (please, call me!), the landscape architect who is supposed to create a new garden but has a creator’s block and so on. You invite me to take a look at your town, your hospital, your ideas for the library, the area for the new garden, and I listen to the concerns that are foremost on your mind. Once I have a bit of a picture, I’ll unleash my mind. There is a chance that some seventy percent of my outpour won’t amount to much, there is a likewise good chance that two or three percent will make a huge difference. It’s a bit of a gamble. But it might be worth your while.
For more on towns & gardens see towns and cities international, for libraries see book stations, book 2/2, Otaon & book 3/1, 3 October, for hospitals, I recommend book 1, beginning, for an overview of business ideas and approaches see easy town visions.
challenges
challenges
You are welcome to challenge any and all of my ideas, and I’m also happy to be challenged on stage. For example, I’d very much enjoy a rethink event, where the audience challenges me with what they believe doesn’t need a rethink, like a toilet or an apple. I like to keep it humorous and I’m happy to do a test event.
Another challenge, I would absolutely love is a Views from around the universe challenge. You put me on a stage and the audience picks the topics I will then (live) take a look at from the perspective of various planets. You find examples on Views from around the universe and on The end of all wars.
stand-up
stand-up
It’s been decades since I performed on a stage, but I am OK with it. And if I have to make a fool of myself to get us talking about my ideas and our planet, then I am your human. I already have some snippets which could fill some five to fifteen minutes. I’d be happy to do a test event.

It’s been decades (insert chuckle). It’s one of the things that’s great about getting on in numbers. You can say crazy things like: It’s been decades. It has. But I’m OK on a stage.
Reading – I’ve been practising quite a bit in the previous months and I occasionally attend an online voice training course. Reading publicly is a new thing for me. But the first reading confirmed that I’m fine on stage, that I prefer to read standing, and that I’m likely to move around a bit.
Talking – no problem at all. Though, I’ll probably have to get more disciplined about sticking to the point in a live situation. But my last talk at uni got a standing ovation.
Dancing – well, if you like a good laugh, I should be fine.
Singing – years of choir practice still pay, and presently I frequently play with melodies. (Book 3, shaping, has a few songs). Decades ago, I did some solo performances at weddings of people I knew. Most memorably a solo for a close friend where I also played the guitar. And no, I don’t play the guitar any more. I’d love to get back to playing the cello, though.
Acting – well, so long as I can improvise, I am fine. I’m not good at studied acting (no idea whether that is an actual term). But generally I’m best when I’m just myself.
Acrobatics – it’s not like I’m absolutely opposed, it’s just that I think, I’ll need a few more years until the yoga classes show some effects in that direction.
Interacting – I like to interact, and more recently the photo shoots I did in hospitals, at events and for other clients (2013-2019) were a good training for interacting with individual strangers and with crowds.
To summarise: I’m no stranger to the stage, but it’s been a while. Saying that, I am ready – even to fail and to try again.
